When the UU World uses expressions like "recovering Catholic" (page 9) it makes me feel uncomfortable. Maybe I am not progressive enough to be a real UU.

The writer used that expression in a personal essay. The magazine can't really help the fact that UU churches are chock full of people who call themselves "recovering Catholics" — although if you'd like to write a letter to the editor describing what makes you uncomfortable with the phrase, please do!
