This week at uuwhirled: Celebrating Jesus' birth.

Francis Stokes reports on the emergence of "water-cooler UUs," whose innovative new church recently affiliated with the Unitarian Universalist Association. The congregation celebrates each individual's capacity to find truth through workplace gossip. (Such discipline!) My favorite part of the story:

"Will we be celebrating Easter? Of course we will!" attests Rev. Erskine Grantham jovially, tugging at the edge of his silver beard. "The birth of Jesus is important to us."

Ba dum ching.

Did you see the Jay Leno interviews with people in the street about the bible?

I hope this is a good indication I am not in trouble for ripping off the UU World website look and feel? After seeing "God, Inc." on You Tube I contacted Francis about writing an article. I was thrilled when he accepted.

In trouble?! I'm a big fan of parody. I'm just glad you didn't rip off Philocrites! ;)

I think I know this religion about "a network of lower divine beings making up an infrastructure to carry out God’s will". It is called Catholicism.

BTW, how come that the flame is not even flickering in the Whirling Chalice? It is the only stable thing I have seen in UUism for quite a long time!
