Photographs: Springtime in Massachusetts.

Blossoming treeNow that endless rain is upon us here in the 021 — threatening to turn Saturday's picnic into the second annual rainy UU bloggers' picnic! — I'm especially glad I trekked down to the Boston Arboretum to see the lilacs Sunday afternoon. Granted, there are no lilacs in this picture, but it's my favorite from Sunday's batch. This is down the hill from the bonsai hut, and hopefully some of you botanical types can tell me what I've photographed.

Here are a handful of recent springtime photos — an opportunity for me to share, but also for me to figure out how to use Flickr:

25 Beacon Street at duskHere's 25 Beacon Street in Boston, the administrative offices of the Unitarian Universalist Association where I work, next door to the State House. These trees were blooming madly three weeks ago when I took this picture.

You can find more of spring photos by clicking on any of these images and browsing through the very small gallery I've loaded. I'll probably post a few more here later.

The little pink tree (which may be a redbud, but hard to tell from the small photo) is linking to a private page. The other photo link works.

Oh, that was the first picture I uploaded. I forgot to change its permissions. It's now public.

Thank you for posting the lovely picture of Boston in the snow. I'm going to enjoy thinking of that image when I live in Texas and wish to remember winter.
