Here's your real chance to fix the UUA.

Okay, all ye reformers and would-be reformers of Unitarian Universalism: Here's your real opportunity to help chart a new course. The denominational Commission on Appraisal — the independent board empowered to review any aspect of denominational life that could use some critical rethinking — needs a new member. The deadline for applications is March 18. (The commission is elected by the General Assembly, but a resignation has opened up a one-year term through June 2007.) Apply.

Too bad all of those meetings are in Boston. As a UU who lives on the west coast, I can only cringe!

Actually the CoA does move around the country. They meet once a year at GA, once a year in Boston and hold hearings so that folks in the Districts can input on the topic once or twice a year.

And the costs of flying hither and dither are reimbursed.

Ok. I've done so.

Just remember, Chris; if this happens, it's your fault.

This is the best job in the UUA. You get to review anything you wish, and don't have to worry about budgets.

There was no information about why Arthur Morrison resigned. I hope that it is not a health issue.
