Chestnuts roasting on an open thread.

Merry Christmas! Just because I may not write much this weekend doesn't mean that you may not want to share a Christmas Pageant snafu, mangled Christmas carol, shopping oddity, or variant spelling of Hanukkah. So consider this an open holiday thread: Santa's knee, just for you. What's amusing you this, um, holiday season?

Unitarian pageants in the news! The Christmas pageant of the First Church in Jamaica Plain -- the congregation I served as worship leader during the minister's sabbatical back in 2001 -- is charmingly depicted in this Boston Globe story: "On a wing and a prayer" (Keith O'Brien, Boston Globe 12.26.05, reg req'd).
