Bush aides to bin Laden: 'Thanks!'

What a bunch of statesmen we have in Washington:

"We want people to think 'terrorism' for the last four days," said a Bush-Cheney campaign official. "And anything that raises the issue in people's minds is good for us."

A senior GOP strategist added, "anything that makes people nervous about their personal safety helps Bush."

He called it "a little gift," saying it helps the President but doesn't guarantee his reelection.

And we WANT a president that needs to keep us afraid to help him stay in office? This is how we plan on "fighting terrorism?" Isn't this a little like hiring a fox to guard a henhouse?

As long as Bush is in office, Bin Laden will have no trouble recruiting new terrorists. Do they realize how in sync they are with each other's needs?
