Gunman's ex-wife had been member of Knoxville church.

More on the shooter in yesterday's deadly attack on the Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church in Knoxville: His ex-wife, Liza Alexander, divorced him eight years ago after he threatened to kill her and himself, according to a new story at the Knoxville News Standard. A member of the church says Alexander had been a long-time member of the congregation.

This is such a tragic story. Domestic violence, mental illness, intolerance...it's so awful. I send peaceful vibes to all of Knoxville and members of the UU church in particular. Isn't it wonderful, we have a place to bring our children so they don't learn that kind of hate.

Which is interesting because it means that, presumably, he knew who we are and have some sense what we're about.
