Suggestion box.

Introducing the Philocrites Suggestion Box! Suggest a topic, pose a question, demand an answer, or share a link to something I and my readers might appreciate. I'll put a permanent link to the Suggestion Box comments window on the main page, up by "About me" and "E-mail me." (I will weed out the list as I incorporate or respond to suggestions, and to keep things manageable. If your comment is too far outside the scope of this site, I'll delete it.) Think of yourselves as Philocrites' contributing editors — and for this feature, please do leave your name and an e-mail address where I can reach you to follow up.

To include a link, type <a href=" then paste the URL (the address for the page in your browser) then "> then the name of the page or article then </a>. Your entry will look something like this:

<a href="http://www.philocrites.com/index.html">Philocrites</a>

And once you post your comment, others will see:

Did you see that the NYT had an article about Google Bombing today? In case you missed it, Philocrites linked to a Google Bombing post a few weeks back.

Christopher, talk to me about how Religious Education is at the core of Unitarian Universalism and is an effective tool for organizational growth. Talk to me about how Transformational Leaders can inspire our REvolUUtion.

Thanks. I'm loving this site.

Christopher,
I love the Blog. I must admit I had heard about blogs but had NO interest at all until I read the most recent UUWorld. Now I want one of my own. How do I set one up? Any suggestions?
Thanks,

Scott,

Getting started is easy. Blogger, which is how Philocrites started out, is free and easy to use. If you get hooked, find an audience, and discover that you want more sophisticated tools, there are other options that require a few dollars but really expand the toolbox.

There are countless expert sites on the Web that offer tips and tools, each pegged to the software you select. And, strange as it sounds, there are at least half a dozen books. I picked up Essential Blogging, but I'd also strongly recommend Rebecca Blood's Weblog Handbook: Practical Advice on Creating and Maintaining Your Blog.
